Founded in 2006, Magic Box Productions was created to address the growing need for exemplary media arts education in New York City’s highest-need schools—particularly those with limited access to arts enrichment and technology. Since its founding, Magic Box has served more than 30,000 K-12 students and 3,000 teachers. Magic Box is committed to helping students develop visual and digital literacy from an early age. By supporting the advancement of creative, collaborative, and technical skills, Magic Box prepares young people to navigate the world with curiosity and a critical lens.

Magic Box has partnered with Chelsea CTE High School in Manhattan for many years to support a successful and dynamic photography program. The school offers a rigorous Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway that equips students with the skills and experience needed to meet the competitive challenges of post-secondary life. Through this partnership, students gain both artistic and creative readiness for their futures. The proceeds from this exhibit will go toward the funding of Magic Box Production’s photography residencies at Chelsea CTE High School.
