Exhibition: February 13, 2026
Artist Statement: Naima Kurfirst is a 9-year-old artist born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She has been painting since she could hold a brush, expressing herself through color and imagination from her earliest years. Her artwork was first exhibited at just two years old at the Rhizome DC gallery in Washington, DC – an early milestone that marked the beginning of her artistic journey.
At the age of five, Naima began art training with Brooklyn-based art teacher Yura Rudenko, further developing her skills and deepening her commitment to her craft. She works across a wide range of mediums, including tempera paint, watercolor, pastels, and watercolor pencils, exploring texture, movement, and vibrant color in her work.

Naima continues her artistic training in Brooklyn and is excited to present her first-ever solo exhibition at The Wall gallery in Brooklyn, NY – an important and joyful milestone in her growing creative journey.
