Kolomyya Art School was founded in 1974 to teach children the history of Ukrainian’s great artists, not only to be inspired but to continue their art traditions. Students regularly participate in art events at the city, national, and international levels. They showcase their talent in exhibitions, competitions, and festivals, and regularly win awards in competitions, gaining recognition both in Ukraine and internationally. Teachers and students actively participate in the city’s arts and culture scene, working closely with local museums, cultural centers, and universities. Graduates have gone on to study art at universities in Ukraine and other countries, and alumni have successful careers as artists, teachers, architects, designers, sculptors, and fashion designers.
Curated by Victoria Symoyuk-Knoll, this collection showcases 73 paintings by children aged 7 to 14—artists who, despite living under the shadow of war, continue to find light through their brushes. Their art is a window into their world, reflecting the contrasts of their daily reality: the warmth of home against the uncertainty of conflict, the beauty of tradition amidst change.

Charity:
Each piece is on display and offered for sale until March 31st. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the organization Revived Soldiers, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to the people of Ukraine in support of their fundamental human rights and the medical rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers.

Kolomyya Art School has nurtured generations of Ukrainian artists since 1974, preserving cultural heritage and fostering creativity. Today, their students’ work reaches beyond borders, calling for solidarity, understanding, and support.
This exhibition is more than a display—it is a movement. Join us at The Brick and stand with these young artists.
