Quietly Loud

My name is Violette Stevenson and I am a 17 year old New York based phographer born in Brooklyn and raised in a dual heritage, French – American household. I grew up surrounded by different cultures and enviroments. I was drawn to photography as an art form at a very young age, as an art medium, photography requires us to be present to witness life as it unfolds before us by doing this we can see our surroundings more clearly rather than searching for an image or a particular aesthetic my work extends from this focus on the present.
